Mataram University (Unram) held a Senate Open Meeting as the highlight of its 59th Anniversary on Saturday, October 2, 2021. The event was attended by the Rector, vice rectors, chairman of the senate and its members, as well as several invited guests from both the academic community of the University of Mataram and leaders in agencies and institutions in West Nusa Tenggara. The event was broadcast live on the University of Mataram YouTube channel and was watched by more than 1000 people.

And next, in his remarks on behalf of the Governor of NTB, the Regional Secretary of NTB Province, Drs. H. L. Gita Hariadi, M.M., said that Unram was able to produce qualified graduates who could jump directly into the world of work. In addition, the provincial government hopes that in the future it can synergize fully with Unram in solving problems in the region.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo vitually gave a speech and congratulated Unram on its 59th Anniversary. He said that the campus is required to always be adaptive and able to surf nimbly in the midst of change. Unram must be able to become a bridge of progress by building ideas to transform for the welfare of NTB. Unram is expected to be a comfortable place for learning and character building that is resilient and loves the homeland, nation, and state.

Meanwhile, in his remarks the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A., said that Unram had collaborated with various government agencies and business partners in the world of work and industry to implement Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). This collaboration is expected to be the first step of various innovations that will be presented by the Unram academic community.
